Well... Everything in life is guaranteed to change... just wait a minute and something else will have just changed. I write this today to announce changes happening with the Catawba Valley SWUG. I founded the group over two years ago to help other SolidWorks users learn and network with other users. I hope that each meeting has been informative and productive under my direction and leadership, but the time has come for me to pass on the leadership to someone who will continue the great tradition for which the group was founded. This change of leadership is due to a career move that will take me away from the Hickory area. I regret having to make this change, but know that change is inevitable and will only make us stronger.
Beginning with the March 17th 2009 meeting, Scott Furr of Century Furniture will step into the role as President of the Catawba Valley SolidWorks User Group (HSWUG). Please welcome him and assist Scott in continuing to lead such a dynamic group of passionate SolidWorks users.

At our last user group meeting we discussed a program that is available through our local community college CVCC for Industrial Training. The program grant funds awarded are based on demand from local companies for particular training topics. If we as Solidworks users would like to see more funds awarded to provide Solidworks Training, then CVCC must hear from you! Your input will make an impact. Contact CVCC and express your interest in getting ongoing Solidworks training and a Solidworks equipped lab at CVCC. The person to contact at CVCC is Susan Harris 828 327-7000 x4294, sharris@cvcc.edu.
Please act on this today to insure future grants are directed towards Solidworks training at CVCC to benefit the area Solidworks users.
